So I wanted to know if anyone has done body modifications on the WK to get a 35" or larger tire. I saw how AEV put the 39.5" tires on the Commander and that they had to push the rear axle back 5" to avoid the rear doors. Would it be possible with the WK too after adding the 4" super lift. I guess it would mean extending the rear drive shaft and a lot of welding? I was originally just thinking of cutting into the doors to make it work. I would like to fit 35"-37" tires. I think it could be really sweet! Can anyone think of any drawbacks of going to a 35" or 37". I just want to know how they were able to still steer the commander with such a big tire.
