Does anyone have an opinion about tires BF All terrains, Goodyear Wranglers, or Toyo. Are the Toyo's really worth the extra $$$$?

From what I have seen the Toyo's tend to be the least expensive of the three. Toyo's seem to be the quietes, offer very good performance, and be very durable compared to the other two, but I have also heard good things about the KM2 as well. Overall on tires though each one is designed for a purpose and depending on the type of wheeling you do one may work better than the others, and justify the price. The best advice is to ask other people in your area what they are running and their opinion.

I have BFG all terrains on my WK and love them!!! I keep buying them year after year. My hubby has the toyo MD's and loves them too. The GY Wranglers are just so so...

Hope this helps.

My old tires were Toyo Open Country Ats, they performed flawlessly on road and offroad...decent sidewall for an AT as well. My new tires are Hankook Dynapro RT03 mud terrains and I have yet to do very much driving with that setup.

I've never seen these before...they're very nice looking tires, and they even have siping on blocks.

I've been really impressed with the new BFG KM2s. Which is weird because when I first saw them I instantly thought "oh, a Krawler with some of its blocks cut in half", so I thought they would be super loud and bouncy like my Krawlers. Turns out they are quieter than the old MTs. Good luck finding any though, they seem to be on permanent national backorder.

Hopefully as the year rolls on, BFG will get caught up production wise and be able to get these tires out to the distributors!! Initially, I think they only were introducing a few sizes. Jp Magazine stated that only 17-inch and larger tires were in the first phase. 15 and 16 inch tires won't be out till Sept 1, 2008. Hope that helps!

I talked to a salesperson at a local Sears shop, who evidently carries/sells BFG tires exclusively, who stated they didn't expect any of the new KM2 tires till the second week of March this year.

my $.02... goodyears are great ; smooth, quieter than you would expect and last fairly well. a little expensive and harsh riding tho.
the bfgs seem to work well [havent owned them myself but have friends that do and swear by them] but a little expensive and noisier than the goodyears.
cannot recommend toyo
have you considered cooper stt? just got a set myself [on some very strong recommendations] to replace old goodyears. seem to work well, are surprisingly quiet and ride better than the wingfoots. dont know how they work in the rain or longevity yet.
just my tuppence...

I still reccommend looking into the hankook dynapros, these thigns are beasts. i've had nothing but good lines and good comments from the trail and people since I've had them out. tire wear is great, and they hold there pressure very well. I deflated them to 10-15psi a couple weeks ago and they went over everything with no issues.

just my 2 cents - i love BFG - i have had the A/T's on every vehicle i owned since i was 18. Still have them on my CJ. I finally stepped up to the M/T KM2's on my Mojave and i love them. They are very smooth on the road for a mud terrain. I cruise at 80 down the highway and i feel like i'm floating on air - the superlift helps that as well.

The only experience off road i have had so far w/ them is the beach but again very impressive in soft sand - never had any issues.

I have had all three brands, GY, BFG, and Toyo... Depends on your application. The KM2's are nice and what I currently run, the are quite and work well offroad in rocks and mud. I's rate the Toyo equally as well, except for tire weight, in the 37" they are 20 lbs more per tire. Takes a lot to airdown because of stong sidewall, but they do perform well and are quite. I had cup wearing issues with GY, maybe the set I had, the GY are great on dry rocks, the are not good in mud IMO.

One thing to keep in mind too is that M/T does not stand for mud terrain, but rather maximum traction. There are lots of people who get an M/T and are dissapointed when they don't work in the mud.

I think you are referencing the GY MTR... Other MT's mean Mud Tire
