sweet looking man...I had the stock sized Toyo ATs on before the lift. I now have the argent pintlers and 285/70/17 Hankook Dynapro RT03 MTs on. I love this suspension lift...better than stock in my opinion. Any future plans for the WK?

Thanks, next on the list is to get the truck aligned which is happening in two days. Right now it is driving really poorly. I also got some rubbing and need to address that pinch weld. I thought with 4" lift and 285 70's I would not have any rubbing..... as it is the recommended tire size. I rub on tight turns without any suspension compression.
In the future I would like to get a set of 4xguard skid plates. I also would like to find a good set of shocks for the front to go with the SSR's. Right now my wallet is a little thin so that won't be for a while.

4xguard accessories are the 'shiznit'(check out the new sliders) and I can also point you in the direction of some great front shocks. Bilstein makes them specifically valved for WKs/XKs with lifts. I think they are the new revised shocks Bilstein 5150.
The pinch weld will definetely need pinched/folded over. I thought mine wouldn't rub either, but with a test fit of the new tires and wheels it's evident that the extra shoulder lug width of my Mts I would need it. It's an all around easy thing to accomplish and well worth the time and effort even if you don't have any apparent rubbing issues.

More info on the front shocks! Where did you find that they were specifically valved for lifted WKs?

On http://www.jeepsunlimited.com/mambo2/ there is a thread there that is all about this. You can order the shocks through Kolak (Nick) on JU. I have the rear Bilsteins on my WK and they are amazing. Defitnitley going to be getting the fronts to match the rear. They are perfectly tuned for the WK.

I was wondering what kind of gas Mileage do you get now that your Grand is lifted with the 285's? I am looking at picking up a JK Rubicon Unlimited in the next 6 months but I would really like a diesel so I may be looking at a WK CRD instead. Also great looking rig, I will always love the Grands even if I buy a JK but I wish they had better aftermarket support. Thanks for the info..

To be honest with you, I do not check my mileage often. I don't even look at the EVIC (jeep computer) calculated mileage. When I need fuel, I go get fuel. With that being said, the last few times I have calculated my mileage. I have seen 23 US mpg hwy and 18 mpg city. I only have 10k on it, so there probably is some better mileage to be had.
I would highly recommend the CRD to anyone considering it. It was the reason I bought a Jeep. I really like the rest of the vehicle and the Quadradrive II is a great 4wd system.
