I posted this in the TJ forum also, but I've always had good luck with advice and ideas under the Brute forum so...I'm looking for a seat or seat frame that will raise and lower for my Brute. In the past I've raised TJ seats with riser blocks, but that makes it difficult for my wife to drive, as she is significantly shorter than me. Anyone got any ideas for a seat that will raise and lower, or a seat frame that will raise and lower?

never tried it, nor have i seen it done... but could you take a 6-way adjustable seat out of a grand cherokee and fab it up to work? all it needs is a power source. all the switches are mounted right to the side of the seat. not sure if the mounting brackets would swap or if you'd have to get a little more creative... but it's a thought.

heck, come to think of it, i even have a pair of ZJ seats over in storage still... i could snap some pics if you want (it will just have to wait a week or so since i am super busy this week).

If you took some pics to post that would be great! I figure the seat mount/frame is the tough part because the floor is not going to be the same shape as any other jeep. Thanks for the idea. My first look didn't lead me to think another jeep seat would work. I'll have to look a little closer maybe it won't be as difficult as I thought.

Don't know if you could find one "short enough" for your desired starting position, but see if there's a tractor-trailer wrecking yard near you and go poking around at air ride seats. They raise and lower (as well as air cushion), though you would need an air source, obviously.
