Any plans for a lift for the new 2011 grand cherokee?

That would certainly provide some challenges. It already has a computer controlled air lift system built-in. Provides 0 to 4.1" of lift.

It comes standard on the Overland, but it's an option available to both the Laredo X and Limited 4x4 with the Off-Road Adventure Group II package.

i guess it resets every time you start so big tires wouldnt be an option for there standard lift
that why i asked if they would make an after market one

It also lowers approx. one inch for ease of entry and 1/2" above certain speeds, so larger tires are a problem.
In addition it has soft sound batts, in the inner fender that are only about 1" away from the tire and the 4 wheel Independent Suspension presents additional issues.
It will be a major engineering project to make it work properly and how many Grand buyers are looking for a lift kit???
You have to evaluate the potential product demand vs the potential design costs to see if it is a viable project.

I'm thinking maybe (hopefully) there will be a way to "lock" the air lift in place at 4" by reprogramming the ECM to always stay in air lift mode.

Dave? Is this you guys?
2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Off-Road Edition
To get ready for the off-road, go big. Case in point: the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Off-Road Edition.
The 5.7-liter V8-powered silver Jeep Grand Cherokee boasts a suspension lifted with coil springs to make way for 33-inch BFG Mud-Terrain tires. The exterior is prepped for off-road battle courtesy of Mopar skid plates, rock rails and tow hooks. The interior has been upfitted with the Mopar bright/rubber pedal kit and sill guards.
