AEV / Mopar Front Bumper

Hello,

Did AEV develop the front bumper seen on most of the Brutes and TJs found in your gallery? I like the look and function but have yet to see a side shot showing the front crossmember area behind the bumper. Will it work with the ORO SwayLoc or Currie Anti-Rock?

That bumper is designed by AEV, and made by Mopar. I have seen these run with the Rock Jock system, but I am not sure if it required any modification of the bumper or not.

Yep, Dave designed it here for Mopar back when they thought they wanted to do some real offroad parts. Its just coincidence that it ended up working so well with the Highline kit. Its actually made by our sister company for Mopar, so those bumpers are made in the same plant our AEV JK bumper is made and has the same coatings etc. It was originally designed for the antirock but Mopar engineers cost cut out a bunch of features and that was one of them. We simply cut the bumper sides for a crossmember mounted swaybar.

Thanks Matt - If it works for AntiRock then it should work for SwayLoc.

I hate to ask what other features the bumper had that got cut by Mopar. I guess it doesn't matter now.

It was before my time, but I guess with the exception of the crossmember mount compatibility, the front was pretty unscathed, the rear however had virtually all the cool stuff eliminated.
