Can you install the AEV front skid after installing the AEV front bumper?

I have the bumper and I am waiting on the skid, so I don't want to install the bumper if I have to take it off to install the skid.

Thanks,

The skid should install after the bumper is installed. The process is the same if you install it at the same time as the bumper, or 6 months after the bumper.

Jon is correct with his statement. The skid plate is designed to be installed after the bumper. Page 21 of the bumper install guide gives a step by step installation procedure for the skid plate. If you have any questions please contact our Tech Department at any time.

Is the bumper pretty easy to install?

Most people installing it for the first time need a full 8 hours to install. It isn't difficult as long as you follow the instructions step by step, just very time consuming as this is one of the more involved bumpers out there.

We are in the process of making it a little easier to install, but most people do say about 5-8 hrs for the first install. We charge and do it in under 4 hrs, but we've done a few.

Do you mean to say you are about to come out with a new and improve front bumper? I know you guys don't like to give out any launch dates, but could you give me an idea, like around next spring, summer...

Not really a new bumper or anything, just looking at changing a couple of nuts to flag-nuts to make the install slightly easier. Probably not worth waiting for.

Actually one thing that would be nice would be to have the bumper outer bolts be black as well, as to blend in with the rest of the bumper.

On the topic of front bumpers, is the front bumper in the Jeep Rubicon King ever going to be produced for the public?

On the AEV Front Bumper for the JK, would I be able to install the new Warn Power-Plant (9000lb model) ?

Never Mind. I see I would NOT be able to use this winch..........
