Had a little issue at the trails yesterday, rolled the Brute and took out a JK with it.

uh...a little more detail please!

This photo looks like bigfoot jumped out and scared all the Jeeps. How in the world did that happen?

Hope everyone is OK,

Hope everyone is ok, Jeeps are replaceable, but people are not.

Thought I'd hook ya! We're still trying to figure out what exactly happened, but the main thing is that no one got hurt! We'll have a scratch and dent sale on a High line fender kit. You can find them down at the local scrap yard!

Glad to hear that no one was hurt. And sorry to hear about the brute. I know you all put blood sweat and Tears into the rig. I am sure you all have more ideas for the rebuild already.

We do plan to rebuild, it's going to need a new tub, tube fenders, cage, windshield, stinger, etc. The tub taco'ed right at the bottom of the doors.

Yikes!

Looking at it optimistically -

looks like you picked a good day to leave the top at home!
You're the first to roll a Brute completely over (there have been a couple on their sides)... An award is in order maybe? Who rolled it, I'll have to send them a Tshirt!
The JK doesn't look too bad.
The Brute looks rebuildable.

The good thing is nobody was hurt. The JK looks pretty good and now you can redesign the Brute.

Glad you're all OK... the flares and fenders are toast... maybe you can use the fenders to make a flat fender highline... I'll do it if you want to sell them?

The flares can easily be swapped for some undamaged ones on the JK.

Hey guys, I was thinking about what its going to take to repair the Brute. I have a cowl section of a new TJ tub with floor and everything you'll need, let me know if you're interested, I need to clear some of this TJ stuff out of here, so it could work well for both of us.

There ya go SLC :)

Ship that out with another Highline kit and you can say the ENTIRE body came from AEV :D

I've heard the words "stuck throttle" being thrown around - any way to diagnose what happened?

Thanks Dave, I think our body shop has already written the estimate using a new tub, but I will ask if they still want it. $28k repair:eek: As far as the throttle, we still dont know what happened.

Man, that is one sad sad photo.

On the tub, let me know if it doesn't work out...The partial tub I have here is from a new 04, never been driven. We had it for another project that we didn't do. FYI, You can't buy an entire tub, only the main assemblies, like floor and cross member, firewall, and cowl, bodysides with porkchops...etc. Its a real pain to try to assemble all that stuff at the same time with no baseline or assy jigs. Cost for the parts you're looking at just for the tub is over 2K.

WOW that looks bad! Why's it leaning over so far?

May I suggest a black chassis and a bright body colour for the rebuild? :)

Looks like the OR-Fab Roll cage extension helped you plenty! Now I know I'm getting that on my TJ

Good luck with the Hemi Brute.. its sad to say.. but ya might just need to get another Jeep to throw it in for 28K..

Can anybody say... Tube Fenders? :)
