Hey guys, I have a 01' TJ and eventually want to turn it into the Brute, but in the mean time I wanted to get the highline fender kit and a 3.5" Rubicon Express long-arm lift. Would having both of these effect the Brute conversion? I know that people have put the R.E. kits on Brutes before, but always wondered how due to the center mounting plate for the lower arms. And would I be able to re-use the rear highline fenders on the brute, or are they different? Thanks.

They are the same as the brute only changes the rear half of the Jeep, even at that the rear fender flares can be transfered over.

Suspension wise I think you would be making new attachment points for the rear arms, and having upgraded the driveshaft for the SYE when installing the long-arm kit, you'll have to change it once again to the new length.

Other than that, logically everything should carry over.

If you plan on running the highline fender kit you could run a Rubicon Express short arm kit and then you wouldn't need to fabricate new mounting points for your suspension.

Yeah, after a lot of thought, I have decided to go with the short arm. Not only does it fix a few problems, but it's cheaper too. But I think I've decided to save my money and do everything all at once to make it easier. Might as well while it's all apart, right?
