Here are some pics of the Hood and Tailgate just getting back from paint. The hood has been modified w/ AEV JK Side Hood Vents to make it stand out and be different than everyone else's. The tailgate is simply a TJ to CJ swap.

I really like that tailgate. I have seen it done on many TJs and I think it is always a shame to cover it up with a spare.

GO FOR IT!!! I just know the shop was a bit hesitant to do it, because a replacement hood is so expensive. But they did such a great job on the first try. It actually looks like it belongs. I know it took awhile to do, but turned out sweet. They even taked nuts and bolts on the backside of the vents to make it match the center vent. It looks like it came that way from AEV.

I met the guys from 2-Track at the Drummond Island Jamboree. Were you at the Jamboree? Or is the vehicle they thought might come up. I am thinking about bringing mine across the lake (from WI) to have them do some work. If this wasn't your Jeep at the Jamboree I saw another Jeep they did there. It would appear they do some fine work.

Yeah I was supposed to be there, but a few things got turned around. I really wish I was there though, it's always a blast on DI. They do awesome work, I'm lovin' the Hemi more and more everyday. I'm going to be taking my Jeep back in this fall to do some bigger upgrades, I really can't say enough about the shop and the guys that run it.

the one thing i love about hemi engines is how easy they are to work on, i have done a few cylinder head replacements and you could feasably do one in a little over 2 hours start to finish.

pushrods are great :p

You can if you take the time to carefully unbolt the screws that mount the snorkel to the windshield frame.

I thought I had some more pics of the CJ Tailgate but I don't, I know that some 4x4 magazine recently did a write-up on their conversion.

Hey Thanks Jason for posting up the finished pics.

I liked your CJ tailgate conversion so much I decided to swap out mine! A friend of mine has done this conversion too.
