I have to start this post by saying how extremely happy I am with the performance and quality of the 4" AEV/Superlift system for the WK. I've put about 30,000 miles on it. Lately it has started to make a metallic creaking sound when I hit small bumps or accelerate from a stop. It's not continuous, but on slow wheelin over moderate rocks with the windows down its down right annoying. Has anyone else had this issue? I think that the springs may have worn out the preload spacer, but I can't tell for sure, the noise is coming from the front though. If I go through the operation to inspect the preload spacer, I'm considering replacing it with a thicker one (1/2"-1"). Would that be okay? I'm open to other suggestions as to where that noise may be coming from, and any opinions on the thicker preload would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for the help.

i agree - i never drove my truck stock and im about to hit 60k on the vehicle.

i need to replace the stock front shocks so the front end is a little sloppy once i start to hit 90+ on the highway where as when it was new it was smooth as glass over 100.

let me preface this by saying i am no mechanic or builder by any means. Just going by my experience here.

Have you had your front drive shaft looked at? the lift puts that on a big angle so it wares our prematurely. Mine lasted 45k b4 i had to have it rebuilt but i was told i was lucky that it really should only last about 30k.

that's all i got

Thanks for the heads up on the drive shaft. I really don't think it is that because I can replicate the squeak buy bouncing the rig in the driveway. I'm going to try some tri-flow on the a arm bushings and sway bar bushings. I'll keep you posted.
