This is one of the early Brute conversions done by AEV, and still widely recognized as the nicest one ever built.

Originally built to go on the 2007 Ultimate Adventure and was used as a show piece for AEV for a couple years.
In 2009 it was stripped to the frame and completely rebuilt just in time for the '09 SEMA show, where it was on display in the Optima Battery booth.

In December 2009 it was filmed in Moab, Utah for episode 12 of Dangerous Drives, which aired on the SPEED channel March 24, 2010. You can watch the full show from the link below. It was driven by Dave Yegge, the former Chrysler engineer who designed the frame and suspension for the TJ and JK, and is responsible for Jeep releasing the Rubicon model. Dave is currently working for AEV and helped develop their suspension lift systems.

It was sold and relocated to its new home in Tupelo, MS in April 2010.

For the 2011 Easter Jeep Safari, Spyder OffRoad hauled it to Moab, Utah where it performed flawlessly on the toughest trails out there. It was featured on the cover and had a 5 page spread in the Moab Travel Guide magazine, given away in every hotel, restaurant, and news stand in town that week.

It went up in value?

I will say, it's my favorite Jeep of all time.

That's just the asking price ... the real price, which might go down or UP, will be determined at the point of sale ... really how do you value something this special? seems like this is one of those vehicles that you see at Barrett-Jackson's

I don't know if it's my absolute favorite, but it sure is hard to think of one I like better  ... good luck with the sale

Thanks guys.
The vehicles that go through Barrett-Jackson are either really nicely built or have some kind of history behind them to help raise the value. This Brute is both really nicely done and has a rich history already. Whoever buys this one can add another chapter to its story. I wouldn't be surprised to see this one continue to appreciate in value over many more years. Of course since we are a full service 4x4 fab shop, we'd love to work with the new owner to further customize it to fit his unique style and personality. Believe me, this thing is simply exhilarating to drive, and turns heads everywhere it goes.

Hi Guys,
It looks from the pics that there is manual locking hubs on the front, is that true? Please send me a complete list of installed equipment/description. I will PM my email address.
Thanks,
Steve

Axles are Dynatrac Pro-Rock 60's IIRC, and had locking hubs all the way around when this photo was taken. I've been in love with this thing for years.

We have a buyer who appears pretty serious. Sale pending funds transfer.

If it could be registered for the road in Canada I would consider it, but I went through the importing a "modified" vehicle on one that AEV had for sale already and felt like a jerk...lol.....sometimes the rules do just not make sense.

I'm not familiar with all the rules in Canada, but I'd be happy to help you figure out how to make this deal happen. Let me do a little research. Email me and we'll work something out.
Thanks

The Blue Brute is sold. Spyder OffRoad is currently working on a ton of upgrades on it before it gets delivered to the new owner in Europe. I'm sad to see this one go so far away. If you're sad you missed out on this one, call me and let us build one exactly the way you want it!

I'll be posting up a new build thread to cover all the changes we're doing, stay tuned.

If you know of anyone who needs help with selling a highly modified, rare, or custom vehicle, Spyder OffRoad offers a specialty vehicle consignment sales service.

Thanks to everyone for the calls and emails!
