AEV Corner Guards - Any Problems?

I am considering the AEV Corner Guards. I am curious if anyone that has them has had any problems with rusting from road debris getting in between the guard and the body, the black coating fading from sun exposure, or any other problems. I do not doubt that AEV makes quality parts, but sometimes it is difficult to fight the elements. Thank you for any input.

I think you should woory more about items getting into the body behind the tail light since Jeep did not close off that area, and it will just build up with stuff, more than I would worry about anything between the corner guards and body. If you do have concerns though it would be a good idea to run a bead of silicone around the perimiter of the corner prior to instalation to prevent anything.

I can say that we haven't had a single tech call regarding any corner problems. Because the parts are stamped, they really fit perfectly and there isn't much opportunity for debris to get in behind the guards.
