Well, we finally found a decent used, cheap tub. Our body shop finished the paint today, and we will start putting it back together tomorrow!:o http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s50/screemin-lizard/P5150110.jpg

Cool to see you guys are rebuilding that awsome brute. Did you ever find out what went wrong?

Ya, a mistaken gas pedal for the brake! Hate to say it, but no mechanical issues.

Did you have to do any work on your frame?

Glad to see it coming back together...

We will put it on our frame machine, and measure it. I think the back is warped a little.

Well, we have most of it back together today. I rebuilt the bent up cage, installed the dash, firewall wiring, inner fenders. Considering we wheel this Brute pretty hard, I'm going to build tube fenders, tube rock rails, tube rear fender flares. Pics to follow.

Good to see it will live again!

Not reusing the highline kit?

Tube fenders will be stronger, but only should go on the true trail rigs like this Brute.

We finished up the interior today, and moved on to body protection. I started with the fenders and plan on working back. I'm going to build highline tube fenders, tube rock rails, and rear tube fenders.

So how's the rebuild going? You guys get it finished yet?

And I'm curious as to how much extra cost on top of a brute conversion the complete break down and re-painting of the frame adds? I really like what you guys did and have been contemplating doing something similar for my future brute!

Sorry for no updates, we've been done with it a long time ago. I'll try to get some current photos up. Adam

Looking good guys! Those highline tube fenders give it a really unique look! I see you went with the Toyo M/T's, they the 37x13.5's? Those look WIDE! How those working for you? I can't decide what tire to get next, and I've heard mixed things on the Toyo.

Thanks.

I like the Toyo's but they are heavy. For the 37" tire they may be 1" wider but they are 21 lbs heavier too.

Those are the 38x13.5 and yes, they are heavy! Plus Stuan beadlocks!

nice rebuild, i like the way you did the flares. I would like to see someone offer metal flares for the highline...

I have the AEV Highline, it would be cool if there was a metal flare option. Genright rears might work, but the fronts would replace the AEV. Am I missing something?

You're right, it would only use the Highline hood if you used the Genright.

I'd like to have some Highline flares like these....

Brutes Rule, those customized highline fenders look awesome they look super agressive. That warn power plant is a beast though, does the jeep run warm at all because of the obstruction to the rad?
