I'm struggling with whether or not to go Highline, and I wondered if there were any Brute owners in this forum. I've seen plenty of completed Brutes, but now I need some measurements.

I'm looking at the "ease of entry" as compared between the Highline and regular Brute.

I would like a measurement from the ground to the bottom of the door....where you have to step up and over the opening.

Highline Brute w/35" tires =
Regular Brute w/35" tires =

Highline Brute w/37" tires =
Regular Brute w/37" tires =

I'm 6'2", and my '03 is setup with 35's, and a 1" BL with a RE 4.5" short arm lift. I also fabbed up some seat risers at about 1" over factory. I have to hop up a bit to get in still. I feel my current Rubicon would be great with a 3.5" lift instead of the 4.5". So, I'm trying to decide if the Highline w/37's would be equal to my current setup... or if I could just do without the highline and run my 35's and 3.5" lift and be happy.

Thanks for the input!
Jeff

if you just added the highline to your jeep, the height would still be the same??

If you want to go to a 3.5" lift, and 35" tires you would be able to drop your Jeep 2" by removing the body lift, and 1" in the suspension. For 37" tires you would be able to remove the 1" body lift keeping the Jeep at the same height it is at now.

I know this is not a Brute, but the front clip is the same... I had a highline with stock suspension and 35", it was tight, a BL maybe enough with stock suspension and 35"... I run 3" lift, no BL and 37" with my HL...

I remember your red LJ...I've always liked your Jeep....especially with the 37's now. I'm running an Nth Tummy Tuck skid, and it was suggested to use the 1" BL and MML. Which flat skid are you running...and did you use a BL?

I'm considering the stock front fenders, AEV hood, and 35's...I really like the looks of the #1 Red Brute with Rubicon wheels. I'm just doing more homework at this point.

Man, your jeep looks so clean! Not as is it should be dirty..just a simple look! The silver wheels are growing on me...I wanted to PC a set of pintlers with beadlocks! Everyone down here has black wheels...I guess its just the "IN" thing!

I run the nth TT with no BL. I had another jeep with 1" BL and nth... You do not need a BL to run the nth TT, why put one on? The wheel is picture above, one on top, are MT Classic Locks...

I ran the BL because Jim at Nth suggested it back when I installed it. I also built a rear winch bumper that needed the extra tailgate height in order to clear the winch. But...I won't use it on my Brute or LJ if the transfer case has enough room underneath the tub.

rubclt...why did you run the BL on your other Nth TT Jeep?
