AEV Hood and Snorkel - work with Volant CAI?

Would the AEV Hood and Snorkel - work with Volant CAI? This would be going on a "semi" stock 08 Rubicon unlimited (factory fender flares and no lights on the hood or windshield area.

I haven't seen the Volant CAI, but the AEV snorkel requires the use of the factory airbox. You can add an OE style aftermarket filter to help things out, especially if you are running the prefilter, but most true CAIs are just filters out in the open with no protection from a box.

It won't work. Volant has in the past made snorkels for their CAI's, and I beleive this is still the case. The box is taking the air in from a different location than the stock box, and so the ducting that comes with the AEV snorkel would not match.

that product photo os for the TJ. i saw a pic of te JK model, but it is/was open facing the front. not boxed.
