Does AEV offer a wiring harness conversion ,so I can put a 2.8 CRD into a 05 Unlimited? Thanks DJ

I have a really long thread on this in the TJ section. After talking to Dave I don't believe that they will do another CRD swap into a TJ. I am going a different direction than the CRD. I have a lot of notes if you interested along with some other options. Drop me a PM if you interested.
Mopar may be releasing a Diesel conversion kit soon for the TJ too. They had a demo jeep at EJS this year. I haven't heard anything on it in a few months.

From what I am hearing do not expect the Mopar CRD swap to be complete until sometime early next year at the soonest. Sorry there isn't more optomistic news at this time on it.

I found another route to go with an imported engine. Its still a 2.8L 4cyl but mechanically injected so the conversion should be much easier.

So are you going off road only with the vehicle, or are you not worried that at some point (if not already) you'll have to pass an OBDII inspection?

There are several states that do not have this testing. I have lived in Montana, Idaho, and Iowa and none of these states tested, so I wouldn't be worried about it if I ever did the swap.

Diesel fueled vehicles are a little different for engine swaps than gas engines. Some states don't care at all, some states you have to go through a load/particulate test.
This will be an on-road daily driven project for sure!

Keep us updated and post lots of pics when you get going, your way might be the best way to get a diesel in our jeeps!
