I would love to have the AEV badging on my 08 JK. Has anyone heard if they are planning on making it available?

:)

I know that this was posted on another message board, and if I remeber correctly the badging is speciffically reserved just for the conversions. The reason for this is because of the cohesive builds that they complete, and they know the quality of them. There is a lot of pride that goes into these conversions, and they don't want anyone to be able to misrepresent their vehicle.

I am in markeing and fully understand the desire to protect a brand. However, I also understand the power of grass roots advertising. This would give AEV more exposure and a wider appeal.

Just a thought.

We did have a problem a couple times with people buying some parts and the badging and then selling "AEV" cars on ebay or whatnot.

So while I don't think we'll sell the window stickers or the cowl logo, we will have some stuff coming soon.

I've got one of AEV's conversions (2005 TJ), and I wasn't allowed to get one of their cowl logos, only the windshield sticker. I was told the cowl logos were reserved for vehicles that were repainted. They did embroider their logo on the seat covers though, as well as have them printed on my wet okole's!

Thats true.

The problem with our older cowl logo was that the individual letters were very small vinyl. They would almost always fall off after a few months if they were just placed over the paint.

Ross has made a new badge that doesn't have that problem. We may offer that online at some point.

I know I'd love a window sticker and cowl area sticker... Jeep here wants $250 for the original badging on the sides!

I'm going to go for the chrome Jeep emblem off a Grand Cherokee for my Joop section and leave it at that for now. Maybe add the "Overland" badge when I drop the Recaro leather seats and Grand Cherokee steering wheel in there :)

WOW, I am in the middle of my install of the HIGHLINE kit and would be PROUD to have AEV logo's on my unlimited Rubi. But I guess , if AEV doesn't like free advertising .

That was for the full array of Jeep Wrangler 4.0L Sport and Trial Rated badging.

In the end I figured out the badge from the WK's tailgate was an almost perfect fit:

Just do each letter one by one.

I was looking at Audi's 4.0L badging (a mix-match of a 4.2 badge and a 2.0 badge :) )

What vehicle did you pinch the chrome 4.0 from?

This is to bad. I would like to put a windshield sticker on my JK. I guess a AEV, hood, bumper, snorkel, rear corner guards and soon suspension isn't enough to even let us buy the decal. Heck there is nothing wrong in having one cut for yourself at the local sign shop. It is just a standard font. may not get the logo. but oh well. Just cant sell it But you can make it.

I dont know this for sure but you would probably run into legal issues.

there are only leagal issues if you try to sell what is not your design. not if you make for your own use. I can take an exacto to a piece of vinyl and cut out any shape I want. But I would rather buy a windhield banner. I like my AEV products. I would like to advertise them on my rig. I like that the products are made in USA. But if a sticker is not available. I may take my knife to a piece of vinyl.

Buy the parts forget the badging; badging won't make your Jeep any more capable.

I have an 05 Unlimited Rubicon that was built by AEV.I just bought it as a bank repo.Unfortunately the Po took the front and rear bumpers and the winch off of it,and the spare tire and AEV wheel.Anyways my point is the Window banner on mine is starting to peel of in some places. It would be nice to be able to get a replacement. I cant even get a wheel for it.

They are including decals with their products now. I got some with my suspension.

I sent Dave a PM and he had one of his guys send me some decals. They aren't the original AEV style decal but are nice. They explained to me that the other style of decals and banners are reserved for AEV built vehicles only. Dave sent me three different stickers. I got a pair of decals that are 5"X2.25" Bison with AEV beside it in both black and white and also a pair of 3"X1.5" white, black and yellow stickers that say "Built to the Nth Degree" under the logo. Nothing in silver, but beggars can't be choosers.

I would like to get some to go along with my Highline kit but since it was ordered almost two years ago i wonder if they will still let me get them?

Rubicon Josh

I have had my kit on for two years also and Dave had no objections to sending me a few decals. I struggled with the fact that the decals were not silver to match the rest of my green, black and silver theme so I paid my local sign guy $20 to reproduce them in silver for me. I hope Dave understands...
I will try and get a few photos this week. I also have a set of black and a set of white decals that I will donate to any deserving AEV customer. Just PM me and I will send them out to someone at my cost.
Thanks to Dave and Mike for getting the stickers out to me.

Josh

Yeah I asked for silver also, no reply on that yet. If not I will have my local sign guy do some silver for me.

AEV windshield and cowl decals are still reserved for vehicles built by AEV. You can purchase other stickers on our website.

How many AEV parts/Systems do you need on your Jeep to become an AEV Jeep? and does the Jeep need to be assembled by AEV to be an AEV Jeep?

As I understand it, the minimum you'd have to purchase is the JK231 package installed by AEV. Maybe someone else can chime in as to whether an 'AEV dealer' could also do the install - but, I don't think so.

Yes. In order to have an AEV Jeep it needs to be assembled by our techs and it must be at a minimum our JK231 package, which can be seen here (http://www.aev-conversions.com/vehicles/jk-wrangler-packages)
