I am running the Pintlers w/ 285/70R17 KM2's
I recently brought it to my local mechanic for a tire rotation (just over 7k miles)
I am getting a bad shake in the steering wheel between 55 and 65 mph. They have balanced the front tires about 5 or 6 times and it has gotten slightly better but it still is not as smooth as before the rotation.
Has anyone else had this issue? Is this a common issue? is there a solution?
any insight would be helpful - thanks

tighten the front trackbar to specs, careful on axle end, too much and the bolt will break, don't ask me how I know this...

X2
I would also rotate the km2's every 3 K not 7k. Sounds like a loose trackbar

I assumed this is a TJ, although the post does not say... As for specs, here is a good link...

its a 2008 WK w/ the superlift
You don't have a track bar. Take it to a different shop and have them try and balance it. See if you can find a shop that simulates road force on their balancing machine.

I had a shimmy goin on for about a week, took a day off from work to get them rotated and balanced and the issue went away. I also run pintlers with 285/70/17 Hankook MTs
also, check the end links on the front anti sway bar...snug those up to 70 ft/lbs

When it comes to oversized tires it is really important to go to a shop that is using the road force balancing so they can balance the tires and place them on the vehicle in the correct loactions to minimize any shakes, shimmys, vibrations, etc... With most shops they can only do a static balance looking at what is happening between the tire and the rim, and this can't take into affect what is happening between the tire and the road.
