Can someone please tell me whether the Warn Powerplant is an option that will fit with the AEV front bumper?

Furthermore, I would like to visit AEV in the first week of December with a view to place my order. Do you guys have a showroom there and possibly a vehicle to test drive?

Thanks,

I don't think that it does fit the powerplant. I think that the top of the powerplant interferes with the light tabs. I know I visited the AEv in Missoula durring the first week of September. If you contact Kent he is very helpful, and should know where they are when so you can plan your trip.

J33per,

It does not fit the Powerplant. We looked into it but the disadvantages seemed to outweigh the advantages. We really wanted to keep the winch as low as possible and in between the frame rails for strength, safety and engine cooling performance. The only option to keep the Powerplant in between the frame rails was to offset it to the side a couple of inches which would have caused spool in issues as well as aesthetic compromises. We looked into raising it similar to ARB and Warn, but determined that cooling with the V8s was going to be an issue. There are AEV bumpers out there that have been slightly modified to fit the PowerPlant, they also had to notch the frame slightly (about 3/4") for the motor. Its one of those things that a lot of people will probably do, but that we can't really endorse because notching the frame will obviously affect the crush zone.
