The lift offered that is included in your 4dr JK package; what is it? What other options do you offer? I am all for keeping the lift to a minimum whilst allowing full articulation without rubbing.

I'm also interested in this lift kit, will it be sold seperately ?
My girlfriend has a Rubi bought at AEV ub 2005 and we're confinced about the quality that AEV delivers. I'll rather have a lift kit from AEV, because Dave knows what he brings out in the market. My only concern is about the extra weight of the Diesel version, specially if I'll be adding an additional winch bumper and winch.
any advice? (will it be sold seperately and will it be advisable for a rubicon unlimited CRD with winch bumper and winch installed, in regards to the additional weight for the Diesel engine)
Thx. in advance and keep up the good work

I agree that a lift package would be nice with everything needed to complete a lift including the option for wheels and tires. I have seen a lot of people that have run into issues with not enough lift for the tires, etc... A kit would resolve all the issues.

We've talked about it. The only real problem is balancing the tires and not driving on them before shipping. A tire can balance out perfectly, but still bounce around on a Jeep (especially the larger sizes) Seems like it could be not really worth it if we were to ship wheels and tires that didn't balance out perfectly and then have to pay a shop fix them for the customer, the markup on tires is ridiculously low if you're not WalMart or TireRack.

@ Dave,
What about the lift-kit? Will this be able to be bought seperately?
My big worrie is the fact that I have the CRD version and don't know what the additional weight of the engine, bumper and winch will do.
We've got an unlimited rubicon prepared by AEV and are more then convinced about the quality AEV delivers, main reason why I' d rather have a lift kit from AEV then any other supplier.
If it wouldn't be that expensive, I'd ship my jeep over to have a complete kit installed :(

I know that they are working on the lift kits now that they have taken on Nth Degree. I am looking forward to seeing these lifts, as I know that the Nth stuff for the TJ / LJ was quite impressive. Also with having Dave Yeggie on board this truly will be a world class engineering team making sure they lift the JK properly.

Dave, that doesn't answer my question.

Dave, that doesn't answer my question.
I think that it is still underdevelopment not that they have aquired Nth Degree. In the past it used to me a modified Superlift that I had seen used on the JK conversions they had done with their setup.

uh, sorry about that J33per, guess I read it too fast. In terms of suspension, we did just acquire Nth Degree which has a well founded reputation for building great suspensions. The purchase definitely changed our plans... and kits will be available around the 1st quarter of 08.
For a little background on Nth, Jim Frens, the founder used to be a dynamics (suspension) engineer at Jeep. He was heavily involved with the XJ, TJ, ZJ, WJ, and KJ suspension development as well as with Jeep Special Projects (Military). Nth always had a reputation for quality, although complexity was probably the next word to come out of most users mouths. We aim to combine Jim's exceptional suspension design and tuning efforts with AEVs experience in mfg and design work to develop a superior product than the usual taller springs/longer shock approach.
With what I've seen and driven so far, I'm very excited about what we have. I thought I knew a lot about suspensions, but since Jim has been on board, I've learned just how much I don't know. I took a car for a ride the other day with just prototype springs on it and expected to not be able to tell much of a difference than all the other JKs I've driven (to be honest they all drive about the same and all wallow around way too much for my tastes) I came back from my test drive very excited because I now know we have something truly different. It was immediately noticeable and so much better in emergency situations.
Obviously this is our forum and its our product so take my opinion for whats its worth, time will tell, but I'm really excited.

Dave, thank you for your reply. Two years ago, I had the Nth Degree 4.5" Long Arm suspension fitted to my Right Hand Drive TJ. I'll be in Missoula ordering a 4dr JK in the first week of December and I look forward to learning which suspension options will be available for delivery just before EJS.

I know that I saw a write up on the JK Nth degree suspension in a shootout a few months ago, and it sounded like the suspension was really complex. Is this going to be something that the average person can install and mainain (at least maintain)?
