Just looking for advice on what you did to remove all of the small bits from your stock hood to put on your new hood. Namely the rubber bumpers for the windshield and the rubber bumpers that the hood uses to rest on the grill. I got the part off with the torx bolt molded into it, but the threaded section looks like it won't come out of the hood. The rubber bumpers for the windshield look like they will snap in half when I try to remove them.

Everything came off pretty easly, the hood prop holder did not in fact the pliars bit me and that hurt! So....I bought a new one the hard way!

The only things left are the grill snubbers and the hood prop clip. When you say you found out the hard way by buying a new one.... is that little plastic clip part of some ridiculously expensive hood prop assembly kit?

How exactly did you get the grill snubbers out?

I pinched my finger with the plyers. Not sure what grill snubbers are?

Grill snubbers would be another word for those rubber bumpers between the hood and grill. Specifically the well nut portion stuck into the hood. I got it out, but mangled the hood prop clip while removing it.

I think I just unscrewed mine, the hood prop holder is not worth the effort to save....bought a new one.

The rubber parts with the threaded inserts that are in the hood can be a problem to remove. The good news is they are called "Well Nuts" and can be purchased at most fastener or hardware stores. Bring your bolt along so you get the right thread (I'm pretty sure they are metric).

I just inserted the screw in a couple of threads and pulled them out. Came out pretty easily IIRC. For the stops on the top of the hood and the fenders, I just used some lithium and a screwdriver from the backside and they slid right out. For reinstall on the fender-to-hood bumpers, there is a little hole on the front side a small allen wrench will fit in, grease the bumper up a little, insert the allen wrench in the hole and push it into place. Lithium on the other rubber parts will help them slide into place as well.
