Hey guys, I am thinking of trading in my 2001 sport for a rubicon to eventually turn into a brute, and I was wondering if there is any specific year I should look for? Are there any years I should avoid due to certain issues or problems? If someone could chime in and educate me on what each years pro's and con's are that'd be greatly appreciated! I heard that 2003's have some issues, being the first year out I guess that makes sense.
Thanks!

I never had any issues with my 03 other than the PR4 paint was darker than PR4 and the body mounts seemed to be welded on by a blind guy. I don't think you could go wrong with any year Rubicon, I would just look for one that is as stock as possible.

Alright, thanks guys, I don't know where I heard it, but I was told to watch out for 03's, so I figured I'd ask the experts, and that's you guys! I'll probably search for an 06, being the last year and most likely to have the least miles and be in the best shape.
I agree there, I would never buy a lifted or modified vehicle unless I knew for sure, 110% gaurenteed that it was done right and in good shape, and those are hard to come by, I got lucky with my 01.
Now if the time came that I was ready to build a brute, you guys at AEV offer financing as an option to purchase a complete conversion turn-key, correct? Now I would be completely capable to do the work myself, but lack both the time and the tools.

Sorry Igmar but while we do do full turnkey Brute conversions for customers (in addition to selling it as a kit), we do not offer financing...we're not a bank, just a business...;)

Well yeah, I guess what I meant to ask was if you guys offered assistance in finding financing options for us who have no idea how to keep our money in our pockets? ;)
Speaking of financing, would you guys happen to need another design engineer? I recently got laid off, thanks economy, would be nice to put all my ideas to good use! :D
