I have gotten a starter vehicle ( 06 unlimited Rubicon )
I have just started with bumpers and minor upgrades but looking to change my suspension.

I was wondering when the N'th degree suspension line is going to be ready for purchase and other products such as there engine skidplate, and mobility rubrails.

Thanks and looking forward to your response

Man, a starter vehicle is a stock 4cyl, 88YJ...I think the 06 Rubicon will serve you well. The Nth skidplates will be back online next month sometime with the TJ suspension line to follow shortly afterwards.

Dave,

Will AEV be eventually offering the complete Nth line or specific parts only? It would help to know for those needing replacement parts.

Dave,
Thanks for your reply and I will wait for the release of the product line.
I am looking to put in a 3" short arm kit- What shocks do you suggest, and do you think a steering stabilizer is a good idea.

I as well am excited that Nth will be kept alive! 6" gyro is on my wish list.

As far as shocks, Rubicon Express has nice charts on the sides of their lift kits, showing optional shock packages that will work with that particular lift height. For example,

Or more simply, their shock page:

I haven't experienced all that many different kinds of shocks, but I am running RE's twin-tube shocks that come with their 2" budget boost and boy are they stiff. I prefer the stock ones by far. I've ridden in an 05 LJ with a 3" Skyjacker kit and their oil-based shocks and the ride is quite nice. I've heard nothing but good things about Old Man Emu's shocks.

I have an '04 Rubicon and ran 285/75R16 (33") MTRs with the stock stabilizer for 2 years and recently replaced it with Old Man Emu's nitro-charged stabiliser. To be honest, I really don't notice a difference. In fact, before putting it back on, I drove my Jeep around without any steering stabilizer at all for about half an hour on roads, highways and even offroad. Putting the new one in did make a noticeable improvement versus having none at all, but even that improvement wasn't "impressive." I'm not even sure your everyday driver would notice.

With that said, I do not know how the valving of OME's stabiliser compares to that of the stock one, or for that matter to any others. It could be that OME's is not that much more "heavy-duty" than stock which is why I didn't notice a big gain. I've heard good things about Skyjacker's stabilizer. Presumably it is stiffer than OME's, and that is exactly what I would be looking for.. stiffer compared to stock and OME. Or perhaps a double-stabilizer setup would make a valuable difference.

Otherwise, I would say it's not worth getting unless there's nothing more useful you want to spend your money on.

Hope that helps. Can't wait to see the Nth line back in production! Thank you, AEV! :D

I don't know what shocks AEV will recommend with the Nth components - but I will say that my Jeep just got Bilstein 5100 shocks 2 weeks ago and I wish I'd done it 2 years ago. Very happy with Bilstein.

I saw where Nth was recommending OME shocks near the end
I run the short arm Jyro joint lift with the stinger rear end and spring straighteners, could not be more happy with the OME setup with them.

Now, what I was wondering was, those bushings in the Jyro joint mountings, are they going be kept manufactured, or is a limited supply going be manufactured, I would like to get a few sets if they are a obselesent part.

I've had the OME shocks since 10/2002 and they have been wonderful, providing a nice ride and offering no problems! :)
