I'd like to add a set of highline fenders but am concerned about protecting them. I really like the OEM appearance! My ARB Bullbar has saved many glancing blows from the trees on the tight southeastern US trails. The beauty of most Bullbars are that they cover the lower edge of stock fenders with added bar protection, but the highline kit would leave the fenders exposed. The bars are could be extended upward but may need to be raised taller than the headlights not to interfere, leaving big gaps and an ackwardly large bumper. The Bullbar is hard to modify with frame horn mounts outside the central bulk of the bumper. Is there anything in the works that would give the benefit of a Humvee style bumper to cover the highline fenders?

I know that the tubular bumpers shown with most of the highline kits were actually developed by AEV. Also if you have a larger opening then rather than your bumper hitting an obsatcle, your tire would hit it and then you can drive over it. Still down't provide the protection to the sheetmetal which it sound like you are looking for. :(

For what it's worth, I thought my Road Armor would look really funny with the different fender line.
In reality - it actually looks just as good, if not better than before. The bigger fenders make the massive bumper a bit more in proportion.

But I do agree a H1 style brush guard could look nice if done well.

I have the same problem. I was looking for a wraparound bumper that would cover the highline fender flares for a smooth appearance. In my opinion the AEV front bumper for the JK is the best out there with options for winch mount, fog lights, and even the rubber stoppers on the front. I would love to see something like it for the TJ.

I've still been thinking about this and was wondering how incompatible JK bumpers are with the TJ. My first priority is a bumper that extends to where its ends are flush the Highline flares. The winch mount and light pods I could just fab up myself.

On the rocks the short bumper allows the tires to make contact vs the bumper... with 37" my front tire is what protects my fender...
