Installed our first Aev bumper the other day. Had some clearance issues with the drag link, nothing the plasma couldn't fix!

Looks very good. Was the clearance issue between the bumper, or the skid on the bumper?

What suspension does it have and does it use some sort of drop Pitman arm? We haven't had any other reports of an interference with the tie rod. Do you know if the instructions were followed on page 22 of the manual showing how to adjust the collar to prevent any contact?

Stock suspension. I'm really not sure if the tech followed page 22 instructions, it took him all day to install the bumper. We thought he was doing another Brute kit, not very install friendly.

Yeah, I've heard it takes a long time the first time. I asked about that here and found out that we charge 4.5 hrs for the install with the winch and lights, Dave Yegge (our head of Vehicle Builds) told me that most of our techs can do the bumper in about 3.5 hrs, granted they have installed more than one! He said for the first timer to expect between six and eight hours for a quality install with the lights and winch. So it sounds like your tech was on the high side, but not unreasonable.

Is it something that the average person can install and have look right if they take their time, or is it something that should be done by a shop?
