I like the look of the Pintler beadlock....

Can you run the beadlock wheel and not use the actual beadlock? So run it just for the look of the beadlock.

I really like the beadlocks as well, but it takes a commitment to maintain them. I know I am going to get them, but the bolts need to be checked at least monthly, and the bolts need to be replaced annualy. Dave, do you know if the replacement bolts are going to be offered for when these need replacing?

Yep, Ross is working on getting a "service parts" section of the website up which will include suspension bushings, beadlock bolts, fender flares, etc...

Specifically to the beadlocks, because that's what I have coming, would there be an issue with installing a set of Rapid Air Deflators? Anything in the design of the wheel that would make this difficult or not recommended?

This is an example, although it might not be exactly the manufacturer I use:

Any time you put a hole into anything you are weakening the product. I would think the wheels would be plenty strong, but at the same time you are weakining the structure.

x2... too bad there isn't a version that has the thicker outside ring, but isn't a bearlock.

It is just t he way that AEV does things. They go for funcionality first, and looks are secondary. If it doesn't serve a purpose they will not put it on.

I just had my local shop (OK Auto & 4wd ) order my AEV Argent Pintler beadlock for my JK.

Over on another forum I had seen a couple of people saying that the backspace on the wheels being different from advertised. Has anyone heard of this or had any problems with backspace ?

DAVE, actually we had some show wheels done and they installed them like fake locks because they didnt know, apparently the wheel just has a beadlock added to the outer edge....so there are normal beads on the rim and a beadlock option....though i would NOT recommend running them this way.
