Is anyone making gears or lockers for the 200mm and 213mm axles yet?
i can't seem to find any. i'd like to have the option for a limited slip up front and a full time locker out back.
An ARB air locker would be sweet front and back!!!!!

The guys at Jeep Performance (& Dodge Offroad) are looking at offering bolt-on QDII. They are also thinking about offering push-button locking for QDII (instead of waiting for the computer to determine that locking is necessary).
If you want either of these, go here: http://blog.chryslerllc.com/blog.do;jsessionid=B45A11BB7177F00FA24DF3BC301DA4F 8?id=193&p=entry#comments and add ask for what you want.

thank-you. mine only has QT2. i was disappointed. i like the idea of QD2 and really want it or to swap out the rear end with a D44 and have lots of locker options.

If you try to outfit your rig on the ARB site it says TBD under the lockers, so it appears that they are working on it already as well.

it would be really nice to have real lockers.
the stock system works pretty good. but if you are doind real trails sometimes its just really nice to know you are all locked up.
i had an 85 toyota i turned into a hardcore rock crawler. i really liked the spool in the rear axle. it was nice to know it was always on.

I'm telling you man QDII is more than enough. There are a bunch of guys that take their WKs on "real trails" and have videos of the QDII in action and they perform exactly like a vehicle locked front and rear.

Haven't heard a thing about gears. There is also an electronic issue with changing the gear set,
I can agree with the above comment on how well QDII performs.
(As the photographer) I've sent quiet a bit of time watching the WK and XK in action. I highly doubt I could switch the lockers on and off in a more appropriate and/or quicker way the system in place does so. Its quiet impressive.
Also, knowing that system electronically, I don't see any non-hack way of locking it with a switch/relay/resistor/etc, without getting heavy into the vehicles network. Its possible, but I think I would rather let the modules handle it.

I believe QD2 comes with a Eaton style limited slip differetial. QT2 offers 4Lo...if ARB ever releases their air locker, the cool thing for you would to keep QT2 and slap in a full locker like the air locker so it would be fully selectable via your in-cabin controls.

i'm really thinking about a solid axle swap. d44 front and a ford 9" in back.
the rear swap will be easy. i need to crawl under the front and figure it out.
i bought the commander thinking, "its a jeep, there have to be tons of parts for it."
now i'm realizing there isn't shat. i'm disappointed. i like my jeep. but i want it to have clearance, and rock crawling ability.

that would be a very solid setup...you're right, rear would be a snap, the front, on the other hand would be very involved. Not only do you lose ABS and the great steering components that come stock, you'd lose about 200lbs or more in OEM components that would have to be replaced. Fabbed up shock hoops..etc. A lot of extensive planning, MONEY for $ure...omg I'm rambling

I am suprised at the lack of aftermarket support there is for the WK / XK. There was tons for the WJ, and so I had just assumed that it would have been the same for the newer versions. Hopefully we will see some more items from AEV soon for these models, once they get done with the JK.

Sounds like some of the ZJ's out there. Those are some awesome wheelers, and they are comfortable on the inside too.

Electronic issue with changing the gear set? So, we can pretty much forget about running 32s with the Hemi and 3.73s if we intend to pull an off road ten trailer? Any thoughts on this?

UDOXX....The only electronic issues that come to mind is recalibrating for the speedo. Us guys with the Superlift kit and EGR module can recalibrate for new gears. This especially goes for me, I'm rockin' the 4" lift with the 3.7L...bare bones package on the laredo. Aftermarket gears and lockers should work fine for me.

Excellent, didn't know the EGR offered that feature.
All, we have to do know is find out what axles we have and R and P sizes are available.

I'VE BEEN begging Randy's Ring and Pinion to build gears.
unless you have a JK Rubicon or FJ Cruiser, they could careless

But it can be truly gratifying later if you surpass the feat. All ordeals are surpassable I guess. :)

Any Progress on this yet??? I am pulling my hair out. I love the XK but a 3.0 first gear with a 3.73 is a joke. Has AEV finished the 5.7 to NAG1 electronics yet? Anyone making gears yet?
