They are the standard steel wheels used on a Dodge Ram pickup. They are a 5x5.5 bolt pattern and will not fir the JK. The closest thing for the JK that is easilly available is the winter wheel from Jeep.

Anyone know how strong the steel wheels on the J8 are compared to aftermarket alloys?

And weight?

I have a set they are likely 30lbs or so. You would need wheel adapters to use them on a JK.

If you don't mind spacers the Ram wheels can work really well, especially for 35-37" tires.

I dont see why people get all excited about these wheels. I guess maybe they are "heavy duty" but they look similiar to just about any other black steel wheel.

I think people get excited about the J8 in general. I will likely keep these wheels for a upcoming JK project. I need to sell my Jeep first maybe next year.

Do you know if steel wheels are stronger than alloys?
I'm wondering which can handle serious abuse better.

One nice thing about a steel wheel is the ability to hammer the edge back in place if needed in the field. Same goes for FORGED aluminum wheels, but those are a lot harder to find. For 99% of the people out there a normal cast aluminum wheel is just fine along with lighter weight.

I dont know the different strengths between all the wheels. It just seems when it comes to the J8 steel wheel people act like it will make their Jeep walk on water. I have had to hammer a steel wheel back in place on the trail before and it was very nice to be able to do so. On my LJ I run the AEV Pintler because i love the look of them.
