Chris suggested that the arb rear bumper and tire carrier was the right combination for this build. We discussed possibly even running a matching set using an arb (full or stubby) on the front, but ultimately the decision was made to run the mopar front. Pictures of the aforementioned bumpers on high lined TJ/lj for comparison:

Russell, did you buy Matts safari khaki hardtop without the windows for your LJ? Funny I'm building a highline LJ with safari top as well. Great Jeep you are starting with. Looking forward to the updates

We actually sourced a new unfinished top directly from gr8tops. It will go to paint at the same time the highline kit does. Glad to see another safari lj in the works.

I cut off the rear roll bars, really makes the rear cargo area seem bigger and I'm able to utilize all the windows in the hardtop. I bought the genright cargo tie downs instead of using the aluminum angle the top comes with. I'm having the roll bar modified with lower profile rails too.

With the rear roll cage removed I imagine you do indeed have a good bit of extra rear cargo room. Looks like your build is coming along quite nicely.

35 ko2's
I've done 37's several times and it just takes a lot more to make it happen and it's not worth the extra inch of tires
