Thanks Chris! Sliding backward or to the side makes sense. I was wondering how likely it is to hit the corner but not the hard top. I scraped this the other weekend and was worried the corner would hit too. That's what started this inquiry.

It is a lot more likely to damage the rear panel than the hard top. You would have to be pretty off-camber or in a tight and low ditch to damage the hard top like that in most situations. The corner guards give you peace of mind on the trail. I have seen my fair share of them all busted up.

Same. But I'm not stoked about adding more satin black to my truck. Might color match them.
