"AEV Traybed Prospectors" wasn't that a SEMA one-off only build?

Originally yes I believe that was the idea, however earlier this year Dave H. let on that a production Traybed Prospector was in the works. The project got sidelined with the XL release and the AEV HQ move, but according to Jeff Clark at AEV they are doing a limited run of 10 AEV Traybed Prospectors based on the original one off SEMA truck that Dave H. has. This project is now set to launch first quarter.

I think that is big news. What dealer are you ordering yours through?

AEV has not finalized the ordering logistics yet, so not sure if the Traybeds will only be available directly from AEV, all AEV dealers, or AEV Ram dealers only. My JK-350 came from Cross Jeep in Kentucky and the Prospector that replaced it came from New Carlisle Ram in Ohio.

How was the mileage with the 4.10 gears and 37's with the 5.7 Hemi... I've been seriously looking at your truck, now looking at it via the Cross Jeep Site.

I averaged 12-13 mpg running 87 octane, which is about what I get in my LJ with 315s so I don't think it was too bad, especially when you consider the price of the rig compared to a 6.4 or Cummins.

You should talk to Chris Madison up there at Cross, I've bought three Jeeps from him, and he ran point on my LJ build. I highly recommend them, they're good to do business with.
