  • How Many Brutes?

I was just wondering how many Brutes there actually are out there? 100, 250or 500? How many were produced and still are for sale? Was there a production limit on the kits or will they remain in production a while yet?

And where did most of them end up? AZ, Colorado or do you have a break down by state?

I am thinking about doing a Brute event some where and am looking for interest and regional locations of interested parties?

    Thanks

I talked to Jim at AEV about this when he was at our shop last month. They didn't seem to have an exact figure on how many were built and on the road. Their estimate was around 70 or so.

There is actually just over 100. The first batch of 100 sold out last spring, we're now in our second batch.

I know this is super old, but was there ever a final number?
What about builds AEV did in house, was there a count on those? Ive always been curious about the racks too, i have never been able to find any info if they were built and sold, or just on the AEV Built Brutes? Hope to get a final count tho, thanks.

For TJ Brutes I believe the final count is around 120-125. I know two of those have been cut up. One of these was cut up recently. Quadratec sold a few kits à la carte. This could decrease the final number since there is no account of if the Brute was fully completed.

Be nice to know.. Back when I had the Syclone there was a registry.. but they were also numbered, pretty neat to know what was out there.

Not sure if this helps. It has been said that 300 TJ Brute kits were produced. Production of the TJ Brute Kits ended back towards the end of 2017. AEV built 148 TJ Brutes of the 300 kits. This is one of the last Brute kits assembled. Better than stock in the stock market.

Wow - I didn't realize they were still producing kits into 2017. I thought they had ended long before that.

I think the 300 number is too high. I've been told that AEV via QMC (Quality Metal Crafters) built 150 total Brute kits total. I believe that I own two of the "last" kits produced. I bought them in Nov. 2017. Still sitting new on my shelf in my shop...

Who knows! I think, someone (not me) once said, "everything is for sale". That seems to ring true to most things.
