  • My Brute build

Intro: My name is Jason and while this is my first post on the forum I've been lurking here for years. I've wanted a Brute ever since I saw one on the front cover of a Quadratec catalog. Well, I finally pulled the trigger and my TJ is currently being converted by Unlimited Offroad in Fenton, Michigan. My Jeep has front and rear D44s with 4.56 gears & ARB lockers, OME lift, adjustable control arms from Rusty's, and was sitting on 33" tires. The plan is for the Highline body kit, Tummy Tucker skid, Pintler wheels, and BFG KM2 tires; I have not decided on whether to go with 35" or 37" yet. I'll try to post pics of the conversion process as I can.

It went in for paint today; I'm keeping the factory black color.

Its funny how plans change in the middle of a project like this...
Had to find a replacement windshield frame do to some rust spots on the one I had. Brute is going to be painted yellow now.

Your Brute is looking great! Why the color change though? I liked the keeping it black idea. Either way it will look great! I like that you took the cab apart completely to get it painted too. Nice job!

                  Looking great !

Good to see another Brute in production. I'm going to start our 2nd one once we move into our new big workshop, cant wait! Will probably go Diesel Conversion straight up on the next one. Still undecided on colour but either gun metal grey or white.

We also just finished a JK-8 conversion for Chrysler Jeep Australia as they're
1st official press car. JK-8 was a great conversion as well, came up a treat!

Sorry for the slow replies but between moving to a new apartment and my laptop dying on me I have not been able to post in a few weeks. Good news is that everything is painted and the bed & wheel wells are getting spray on bedliner today; reassembly should start next week and I'm hoping for my Brute to be complete (finally) before Labor Day Weekend.

I've always wanted a yellow Jeep. Since the TJ, now Brute, needed a full respray anyways I decided to go forward with the color change. The only downside was having to change the dash and door panels to charcoal since spice wouldn't really look right with the yellow exterior...
