  • AEV Pintler Wheel Flaking Issue

Well I finally replaced the tires on my JK350 and was disappointed to find that my AEV wheels started flaking. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I can't imagine that this is common. Heartbroken.

    Thanks,

    Greg

That's not wheel flaking, that is install monkeying. This is the fault of the guy who installed the tires using a pry tool which came in contact with the rim surface. Most shops have a touchless rim tire installer by now, but add a tired or lazy employee and you get the result you see.

Did you notice them before replacing the tires? If not, most probably the installer did a poor job and ruined your wheels.
