Are you planning on a winch system for the two spares?

I was thinking just pure muscle power, but a simple block and tackle hoist will do fine. Something not permanently attached, but temporary only when needed.

If so I may be interested in purchasing the bed. I am getting tired of these ram boxes and the poor support of rack companies to fit them.
Hell if you were closer and had a white truck I'd trade you my box for your Ram Box. I really wish I had one.

Cool, is AEV doing the install or is it happening after? Seems like most Prospectors are just appearance packages with no traction devices.

Mine is the real deal, AEV put the lockers in. Between that, the 40" and the winch, I should be able to go pretty much anywhere ... and back.

Maybe add some Crux Offroad heavy duty bridging ladders just in case (http://www.cruxoffroad.com/store/p13...g_Ladders.html).

Good. I don't see the point in just focusing on aesthetics. I agree that almost every Prospector I see has open differentials. Why spend all the money for 40's and not install the lockers? I mean, if the choice was Prospector with 37s and lockers or Prospector XL with 40s and open differentials you should choose the lockers every time if you are going off road. When I see a Prospector that doesn't have lockers I think Poser.

Furthermore, your resale value is going to be much higher than a Prospector with open differentials.

Actually most have at least the OE limited slip in the rear, however ARB Air Lockers will be available on all Prospectors very soon. We were just waiting on the production switch pods/harnesses and other pcs.

All the 40" trucks we've built to date with the exception of our red 3500 truck have ARB lockers F/R.

Dave - Are the production switches the ones you guys had shown in the pearl coat crew cab above the head unit?

While we're on the topic of the switch pods I have a question.

In the SEMA truck from last year I noticed at Overland Expo that it had the prototype spod unit but also had the factory 5 accessories switches. Why did y'all not utilize the factory switches? I'm asking because I was planning on using them in my truck to run lockers front, rear, light bar up front, side lights, and rear lights.

The pod shown in the Prairie truck last year is very similar to the production unit. Without going into too many details yet since it hasn't been released, it offers a lot of options that aren't currently on the market.

The oe accessory switches are very inconvenient for something like front aux lighting and lockers. They are placed in an area where you need to look down to operate them and they have little tactile feedback for which switch you are activating or if it activated without actually looking at it. Those switches are fine for things like back up lights, side lights, etc...They are also in a spot that are way too easy to accidentally activate when talking about lockers and passengers etc.

Placing the swtiches up top, allows for peripheral vision, tactile feedback (a solid click) and the ability to keep your eyes on the road. They also can be added to any Ram and any trim level.

When ordering the oe acc switches you are also limited to how they operate, basically a little PDC under the hood, so you have two that are on w ign, two that are off, and one for the PTO. In addition, you loose your seat heater and steering wheel heater buttons and then have to access those through the radio, which is just a little annoying.
