Diesel Power Products #UA17 AEV Project Howitzer

Current updates. Brown truck finally showed up so we got the trans back with the new updated input shaft, while it was getting that done the valve body separator plate upgrade was done to maximize the pressure increase from the trans tuning, and the BD deep dish trans pan was installed. Then we focused our attention on the atmosphere portion of the build adding another turbo from ATS. Their new emissions compliant compound set ups using a modified Aurora 5000. The real beauty of the ATS kit however is the cast manifold that positions the extra turbo and allows the factory exhaust to hook right up to the stock location. Can't wait to get the cab back on and start driving. Next is figuring out where we are going to gain 18" so we can attempt to fit the exhaust under the bed.

Here is where we left the project last night, time to finish buttoning up all of the engine connection and working on the exhaust components. Lots to do still but chipping away.

We are moving right along, fighting for every inch to be able to fit all the emissions stuff. Whose idea was that? It is a challenge for sure but we are excited to see how all of the parts work in this configuration. We have also removed all of it's innards so that we can start work on the cage. Some semblance of light forming at the end of the tunnel really looking forward to driving this sucker.

Looks sweet. Sucks that you have to run the emissions threw the bed.

                It doubles as a grill.

I'm surprised y'all didn't run vertical pipes like tractors to free up a little more bed space.

This is a great build thread with lots of attention to detail. I've often thought a single cab short box Power Wagon would be the ultimate vehicle, and it's fun to see a CTD version being built.

Great looking combo, we are off the get some parts painted. Color matching the front bumper, rear bumper has been powdercoated black and will get the white paint treatment. Chrome and badging delete are in full effect, and we will be getting the AEV heat reduction hood painted as well. Fender flares are getting installed this week as well. Can't wait to see it with the 42's on.

AEV Ute has 41s, or 42s, and yours is going to be fun to compare .

It will be interesting to compare, we will have to get them out on a trail together. Hopefully in the snow.

just saw your you tube video for howitzer 2. The ATS turbo set looks like an amazing piece.

I'd be curious to see the final tally in dollars for all the parts added.
