I have driven almost everything AEV has offered and wanted to share some praise for the Ram 2500 XL. After 5,000 miles in a few short months I've decided this is the best complete product AEV has built. 40" tires are tricky on narrow or city streets but if you like big trucks that are well built (oem tank-like) and handle both on-road (and snow) equally - my offload time has been limited to dirt/snow roads but can't imagine it will be an issue. I averaged 17 mpg while down at sea level - on 40s. High mph going up I-70 is no problem (no 215* Hemi temps) . My only gripes, Ram's problem not AEV, there is no easy way to get into the bed without a F-150 like built in bed step/ladder and the headlights are weak (have sport package too).

I did see a Prospector XL Power Wagon (unicorn) in Denver at HCP this summer so it can be done.

Also anyone know if there is there a fix for front bumper parking sensors yet?

How would you compare the ride to the base Prospector, was thinking of getting mine upfitted to the XL.

I only drove a base Prospector for about an hour so my opinion isn't worth much and it was a Hemi. It is much smaller bc that 3" more tire is a lot.
