  • To retain AEV or not

After my first time wheeling this season the jeep has gained some Knicks and scraps on her rims and bumpers. I've grown seriously concerned about the high line kit and jeep krawler bumpers. My question is what have other members done who wheel hard?
1-De-AEV and put the AEV parts on a mall crawler
2-Retain the parts and wheel more conservatively
3- break shit and freak out to replace it

thats a real conundrum b/c of the scarcity of parts

I would just run them. You can still buy the Mopar Bumpers and worse case you can always do a Genright Fender kit the that is made for the Hiline. You you can still buy the hood.

As far as wheels just get a set of beadlocks to run when your offroad then nicer non beadlocks for everyday

You know, with all the new technologies out there, why don't we think about 3D printing those plastic fenders?

I'm a bit shocked no one has done this yet.

It is still cost prohibitive. While material is inexpensive, machine run time is not.
I do have 3D printed parts in one of my Jeeps.

Time is not an issue for me. I just need a Printer that can print the humongous fenders!

My budget is below $10k. But I can't seem to find a machine that fits the budget.
