400 views and nada? Seems like a lot of interest in these!

factor 55 flatlink is what they are readily available on Amazon in a variety of colors. Not sure this is worth paying extra for just the AEV logo.

        Gear

Ya, I may end up doing that, but it's always cool to match out all my AEV gear...

i'm building my ram now and i had to go with the prolong xxl. the weight rating on both styles of flat link are rated a 16k pounds we have 16.5 winches, just saying that gives me worries. the aev trey bed truck had a flat link xxl on it from the looks of it, it was a good bit larger than what i was holding in my hands the other day.

any word on this as i technically don't care for thimbles like the prolink they are like big nipples sticking out the front of your truck easily broken and goofy looking just my opinion.

just talked to a very nice guy at factor 55 and according to him this year at sema they are releasing the flat link xxl.

fun fact though is the prolink xxl will accept both 3/4" and 7/8" shackles. the prolink is the one that looks very much like the viking off road safety thimble, thats now out of production.
where as the new flat link will only accept 7/8" shackles. not really a problem if your stocking up on massive shackles like the gunnebo brown pins or something but a lot of recovery points and kit is set up for the more common 3/4" shackle size. i was going to wait and i still might pick one up but the prolink by design seems more usable to me.

                food for thought.

One point to note, the 7/8 shackle is actually what fits the JK AEV bumpers instead of the normal 3/4 shackle for most bumpers. Having a flat link that matched would be nice.

Can you post a picture of that? I did some measurements and the tape measure said it won't fit, but if it will, I might have to go ahead an pull the trigger on one. Thanks.

My tape measure says it won't fit either. I do have a hawse fairlead. Maybe there's more space with a roller fairlead??

I use the fairlead that came with my superwinch and I did need to rebend the plate holder slightly for clearance but it was only needing like 1/2" so no big deal and it came out great.

I didn't think of rebending the holder, looks like my wife gets to suffer through more money spending

My license plate holder wouldn't fit with the flat link so ditched the plate
