  • Overall Cost of Owership

    Hello,

Been looking on this site for a few years and trying to make one of these AEV jeeps fit in my budget. I have three kids in Private schools and its killing me - anyway, I finally realized that there will probably never be a perfect time - so as soon as pay my ski boat off in the upcoming months - I'm gonna be a jeep owner again.

I am trying to look at the overall cost of owning an AEV jeep, so can anyone give me insight on insurance costs - I know it depends on many variables (driving record,age...) - but because of the AEV package - is this an add on for the insurance and therefore driving up the cost significantly? If I get into an accident and I end up totaling the jeep I want to make sure I am covered for example at $60,000 and not the original cost of $40,000

Also, How much and how many years can you get financed for? typically Banks and/or Credit Unions will go up to 6 years? Does anyone have a longer term? What about amount financed? Seems like the Bank/Credit Union will loan a maximum amount based on KBB or NADA. Do they go higher based on the AEV package.

    As always, thank you

I would call one of the good Dealers that contribute here on the site like Cross in Kentucky. Chris will give you all the details and is honest with his business. Look in the dealers sites on the homepage.

On a new Aev unit we have banks that will take the cost of the upfit into the value and loan the full amount up to 84 months(7 years). As far as insurance it varies by state so your insurance agent is the best to answer.
